The Abberwick Tea & Spice shop is owned by Molly Abberwick, the heroine of Jayne Ann Krentz's Absolutely, Positively. Molly bought the shop from Zinnia Pipewell, whose name is reminiscent of Krentz's character in the novel Zinnia.
The hero of Deep Waters, Elias Winters, orders his tea from Abberwick Tea & Spice, creating a connection between the two stories.
