The sweep of the past. London 1851, Queen Victoria opened the Crystal Palace and thousands of visitors thronged the most dazzling exhibition in the world. A time of gentility and decorum. Young ladies obeyed their elders without question. And Tamsin, dutifully engaged to a man she did not know, was prepared to do the same, until a dashing stranger kissed her at a grand Exhibition Ball and awakened her gentle heart to love.
