One love forgotten, another forbidden?
Robert denounced Lygia as a fake. He thought she was out to get what she could from his wealthy cousin, Dr. Avery Chase.
Avery was incensed. He had found the frightened girl on the doorstep of his home on the edge of the Devon moors, suffering from amnesia.
Lygia was torn between Avery's devotion and her attraction to the enigmatic Robert...and distraught over the impression of a ring missing from the third finger of her left hand. Was she forever chained to a forgotten past - or free to love?
