Chloe Plum, has suffered from insomnia since she miscarried and discovered that her then-husband was having an affair. She undergoes hypnosis, travels back to Victorian, England, and meets Harrison Connors, a ghostbuster. Back in her own century, she meets his counterpart, a cartoonist. Before she can accept that he's her soulmate, she needs to understand how his cartoons foretold her time travel experience.
