Diane Dunaway Kramer is a multifaceted individual whose impact spans both the literary world and the realm of spiritual well-being. She is a seventh-generation Californian, who hails from the vibrant city of San Diego. In 1983, Diane Dunaway Kramer collaborated with Irving Cooper to create something remarkable. Their vision was to bring writers together at San Diego State University (SDSU). Cooper, a screenwriting instructor, proposed an ingenious idea: inviting his film and screenwriter friends from Hollywood to share their wisdom with aspiring writers during a short two-hour trek to San Diego. Thus, the SDSU Writers’ Conference was born. Initially, it was a modest one-day event held at SDSU’s Business Administration Building, yet it soon outgrew the space and is now held at the Aztec Center. Diana is also renowned for her work with Siamese kittens.
