This book also finaled in four contests for published romance novelists, including the Debut Novel Category of Reviewers’ International Organization’s 2005 RIO Awards of Excellence and Georgia Romance Writers’ 2006 Maggie Awards.

Her following books also garnered accolades in contests for published romance authors. '''Catherine Kean''' has always loved tales of heroic knights and stubborn damsels. She penned her first novella at age twelve and first full-length manuscript at sixteen. After completing a B.A., Double Major (First Class), in English and History from the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, she was accepted into the post-graduate Works of Art Course run by Sotheby's auctioneers in London, England, where she studied centuries of history, antiques, and fine art. She worked in Canada for several years as an antique and fine art appraiser.

Aldwin Treynarde, a squire who shot Lord Geoffrey de Lanceau with a crossbow bolt after being deceived by Baron Sedgewick, is ordered to retrieve a stolen ruby pendant before it falls into the Baron and Veronique’s hands. Haunted by his guilt over being manipulated by the baron years ago, Aldwin wants to prove his worth to his lord. If he excels in his duty, he might even be awarded knighthood. Such an honor would also help redeem himself to his respected parents who, ashamed by his reckless near-murder of de Lanceau, told him never to return home.

Lady Leona Ransley, in an effort to help her depressed father, only wants to hand over the pendant, collect the reward, and vanish. When she arranges a meeting in a seedy tavern, she never expected to face Aldwin, who almost caused her death twelve years ago when they disturbed a bee’s nest during a childhood game. Although Aldwin does not recognize her, he is reminded of Leona and is haunted by his belief that she died from the bee stings from that day twelve years prior. Believing that the woman before him is a courtesan and has information on the conspirators’ whereabouts, he takes Leona hostage and spirits her away, meaning to deliver her and the pendant to de Lanceau.

After completing a B.A., Double Major (First Class), in English and History from the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, she was accepted into the post-graduate Works of Art Course run by Sotheby's auctioneers in London, England, where she studied centuries of history, antiques, and fine art. She worked in Canada for several years as an antique and fine art appraiser.

Her debut medieval historical romance, ''Dance of Desire'', was the launch title of Medallion Press's Sapphire Jewel Imprint. ''Dance of Desire'' won two Reviewer’s Choice Awards as well as Best Medieval in industry review magazine ''Affaire de Coeur’s'' 2006 Reader-Writers’ Poll. This book also finaled in four contests for published romance novelists, including the Debut Novel Category of Reviewers’ International Organization’s 2005 RIO Awards of Excellence and Georgia Romance Writers’ 2006 Maggie Awards.

Her following books also garnered accolades in contests for published romance authors. After completing a B.A., Double Major (First Class), in English and History from the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, she was accepted into the post-graduate Works of Art Course run by Sotheby's auctioneers in London, England, where she studied centuries of history, antiques, and fine art. ''Dance of Desire'' won two Reviewer’s Choice Awards as well as Best Medieval in industry review magazine ''Affaire de Coeur’s'' 2006 Reader-Writers’ Poll. This book also finaled in four contests for published romance novelists, including the Debut Novel Category of Reviewers’ International Organization’s 2005 RIO Awards of Excellence and Georgia Romance Writers’ 2006 Maggie Awards.

Her following books also garnered accolades in contests for published romance authors. Most recently, ''My Lady's Treasure'' won the Historical Category of the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence and finaled in the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. ''A Knight’s Reward'' (April 2008), the second book in her Knight’s Series, received numerous five-star reviews.

'''Catherine Kean''' has always loved tales of heroic knights and stubborn damsels. She penned her first novella at age twelve and first full-length manuscript at sixteen. After completing a B.A., Double Major (First Class), in English and History from the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, she was accepted into the post-graduate Works of Art Course run by Sotheby's auctioneers in London, England, where she studied centuries of history, antiques, and fine art. She worked in Canada for several years as an antique and fine art appraiser.

Her debut medieval historical romance, ''Dance of Desire'', was the launch title of Medallion Press's Sapphire Jewel Imprint. ''Dance of Desire'' won two Reviewer’s Choice Awards as well as Best Medieval in industry review magazine ''Affaire de Coeur’s'' 2006 Reader-Writers’ Poll. This book also finaled in four contests for published romance novelists, including the Debut Novel Category of Reviewers’ International Organization’s 2005 RIO Awards of Excellence and Georgia Romance Writers’ 2006 Maggie Awards.

Her following books also garnered accolades in contests for published romance authors. Most recently, ''My Lady's Treasure'' won the Historical Category of the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence and finaled in the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. ''A Knight’s Reward'' (April 2008), the second book in her Knight’s Series, received numerous five-star reviews.

Catherine’s upcoming books include ''A Knight’s Temptation'' (April 2009) and ''A Knight’s Persuasion'' (May 2010).

Busy writing her next novel, Catherine lives in Central Florida with her husband, daughter, and two spoiled cats.
