Biography
Julie Leto was first published in 1997 by Harlequin under the name of Julie Elizabeth Leto. Under the name Julie Leto she is the author of the "Dirty" books for Simon and Schuster, starring former gang-girl Marisela Morales. The first title, Dirty Little Secrets, was released in June 2005 under Downtown Press's "Naughty Girls" promotion. The second book, Dirty Little Lies, was released a year later as a mass market paperback. The series ceased publication when Simon & Schuster opted to discontinue the series. For more information about the series, visit ReadMarisela.com

Leto is now writing paranormal contemporary romances for Signet/NAL. The first book, Phantom Pleasures, is based on a story idea the author conceived over thirteen years ago, before the paranormal subgenre became ultra-popular. Phantom Pleasures will be released in April, 2008. The second title, which like the first is the story of five British brothers trapped in the 18th century by a gypsy curse and released by modern heroines, is titled Phantom's Touch. The release date for that book is December, 2008.

Leto is also still writing for Harlequin Blaze. She published the first paranormal Blaze, Undeniable, in October, 2004. Her second paranormal Blaze, Stripped, featuring a heroine who is a witch, was released in August, 2007 and is tied to her novella, "Under His Spell," the lead story for the Witchy Business Anthology (September, 2007). She'll follow up with a third book in the St. Lyon Witch series in February 2009.

Her books have sold well enough to be recognized by both the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists. Her novella, "Surrender" in the Essence of Midnight collection was nominated for a RITA award. Her Blaze, Stripped was awarded the coveted RT Award for best Blaze of 2007.

Stripped is currently nominated for an RT Award for best Blaze of 2007.

Stripped is currently nominated for an RT Award for best Blaze of 2007.
Leto is now writing paranormal contemporary romances for Signet/NAL. The first book, Phantom Pleasures, is based on a story idea the author conceived over thirteen years ago, before the paranormal subgenre became ultra-popular. Phantom Pleasures will be released in April, 2008. The second title, which like the first is the story of five British brothers trapped in a gypsy curse in the 18th century and released by modern heroines, is titled The Phantom's Touch. The release date for that book is October, 2008.

Lyon Witch series in August 2008.

Lyon Witch series in August 2008.
