'''Marquesate''' specialises in writing military gay erotic fiction, usually set in the British Forces.

Having lived in several countries and dreamed in more than one language, Marquesate creates fiction that often starts from a simple idea and takes unforeseen directions, as does life itself. Writing from inspiration yet enjoying meticulously exploring and researching lives and places and adding a dose of personal experience, Marquesate combines imagination and authenticity to bring fiction closer to reality - making the fictional worlds real.

Marquesate lives in Britain and has been associated with the British Forces for a number of years. Using the insight into the 'bowels' of the military machinery and into the soldiers' minds and modes of functioning, Marquesate creates realistic settings, situations and characters who are simultaneously down to earth and larger than life. They are grounded in their military environment and thrown into a maelstrom of duty, comradeship, hostility, courage, loyalty and lust, to emerge scarred, battle-hardened and touched at the very core of their selves - by another man, another soldier, an enemy, a friend, a foe or an ally.

'Never the twain shall meet', is not a dictum Marquesate adheres to. Those men do meet despite cross fire and friendly fire, through the ranks, and across all the frontlines dividing their world.

Marquesate wrote [http://www.marquesate.org/her-majestys-men.html ''Her Majesty's Men''] in 2003, which saw extensive edits until it was published in 2008 by Marquesate's [http://www.marquesate.org/publishing-camouflage-press.html ''Camouflage Press''] and is available as [http://www.lulu.com/content/5055168 ''paperback and e-version''] It is also available on Amazon and other international bookstores.

[http://www.marquesate.org/her-majestys-men.html ''Her Majesty's Men''] is the story of two soldiers in the British Forces and of a friendship taking unexpected turns. In the eyes of the Army they are just two mates who are close. But from the revelation of personal secrets, ensuing hatred and aggression, through terror and danger, to loyalty, triumphant strength and courage, grows their own realisation of what they are: comrades first and foremost, but something else too, something more significant.

The two Royal Engineers, Sgt Tom Warren and SSgt Alex Turner, learn to understand the real meaning of loyalty and strength. Their fight for survival cuts through all the discipline and rules, to tie them together in a unique bond of companionship and trust.

Marquesate co-authored [http://www.marquesate.org/special-forces.html ''Special Forces''], which is the epic story of two enemy soldiers who meet in 1980 in the line of duty during the early days of the Soviet Union's last war in Afghanistan. The story is harsh and violent, but life is cruel and those two Special Forces soldiers do what they need to survive. Enemy Mine and Brothers in Arms - on two different sides.
'''Marquesate''' began to specialise in writing military gay erotic fiction, set in the British Forces, while living in a military town in the UK. Wondering day after day what multiple lives were hidden behind the bland faces and identity concealing uniforms of the soldiers, this lead in 2004 to the creation of the world of ''Her Majesty's Men'', two Royal Engineers in the current day British Army.

In 2006 Marquesate began writing in collaboration with co-author [[Vashtan]], a mighty effort, which at the end of 2008 sees the writing of the last chapter of the three volumes of ''Special Forces''. It is the epic story of two enemy soldiers who meet in 1980 in the line of duty during the early days of the Soviet Union's last war in Afghanistan. The story is harsh and violent, but life is cruel and those two Special Forces soldiers do what they need to survive. Enemy Mine and Brothers in Arms - on two different sides.

Marquesate specialised in writing realistic military homoerotic fiction, set in the British Forces, when living in a military town. Wondering day after day what multiple lives were hidden behind the bland faces and identity concealing uniforms of the soldiers, lead in 2004 to the creation of the world of ''Her Majesty's Men'', two Royal Engineers in the current day British Army.

In 2006 Marquesate began writing in collaboration with co-athor Vashtan, a true collaboration where both authors pull each their equal weight. ''Special Forces'' is the epic story of two enemy soldiers who meet in 1980 in the line of duty during the early days of the Soviet Union's last war in Afghanistan. The story is harsh and violent, but life is cruel and those two Special Forces soldiers do what they need to survive. Enemy Mine and Brothers in Arms - on two different sides.

''Special Forces'' continuous to be a work in progress with chapters being added to the author's website. Updates can be found on newsletter and blog.
