Kay is an odd bird. Her tastes in nearly everything are highly eclectic and change regularly depending on her mood. When it comes to writing, however, they tend to remain static. She specializes in writing gay (m/m) erotica, but has also written several m/f pieces. Most of her stories fall into one or more of the following categories: Vampires, Horror, High Fantasy, Sword & Sorcery. She also has written several Slice-of-Life pieces, and a few BDSM/Fetish pieces.

She lives in Delaware with her partner and their two toddlers. They live roughly ten minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and the beach boardwalk, both of which inspire many stories, especially during the summer when the guys are scantily clad in tight shorts and T-shirts are very rare sights.

As an author for [[Harlequin American Romance]], [[Jackie Weger]] published sixteen books. She wrote seven novels for the [[Harlequin Temptation]] imprint. She wrote the first African-American romance published by Harlequin, ''[[A Strong And Tender Thread]]'' (although it was originally written with Caucasian characters before then-editor [[Vivian Stephens]], wanting books with African-American characters but not receiving any submissions, asked her to change them[http://www.likesbooks.com/seidel.html]). Weger says the book was originally written with characters of color. Weger's last book was published in 1995 while she was living in St. Augustine, Florida. She spent twelve years in the Oldest City, renovating a hundred-year-old house in historic Lincolnville, a community established by freed slaves in 1866. She stopped writing to care for elderly and handicapped members of her family. In 1999 she moved to Central America with her companion dog,a Shar-pei named Simon. Together they lived in a small Rainforest village in a thatched-roof bohio while making intrepid excursions into the Darien, the San Blas Islands, and outer islands in the Pacific. Weger also volunteered at a Sister's of Mercy mission where she taught women in poverty how to earn money. Returning stateside in 2002, Weger enrolled in university, earning an AA, a BA, and in 2008, at the age of 68, earned a teaching certification in History. She graduated Summa cum Laude in the top five percent of her class. In 2005 Weger spent a semester at Queens College, the University of London, producing a study of comparative education between the US and UK. Weger returns to Panama often; most recently spending nine months dividing her time between now established homes on Taboga Isla and el Cacao. Weger lives in Hockley, Texas--a community northwest of Houston.

Happily Ever After is a REQUIREMENT to be an erotic romance.

In 1995 erotic romance started with the first Secrets anthology, Secrets Volume 1, published by Red Sage Publishing, Inc, and caught on with readers immediately. The very first authors of erotic romance are Bonnie Hamre, Alice Gains, Jeanie LeGendre and Ivy Landon. Secrets Volume 1 is still in print to this day, as are all the other Secrets Volumes released since then. The staying power of these anthologies is a testament to quality of the authors. Secrets Volume 2 won the Independent Publishers Follett Literary award for fiction.

Doubleday took notice and bought all the Secrets Volumes for their book club in 1998.

Works of pornography consist of sexual acts without a plot line. Erotic romance however includes well-developed characters and at least one primary plot with the possibility of subplots. Themes such as pedophilia, incest, and bestiality are discouraged by all publishers, and the reputable ePublishers and print publishers will not accept submissions that contain such themes as part of the overall character ARC.

Small press and ePublishers still remain the stronghold of the subgenre, and the market is still a strong one as is evident by the phenomenal growth of [http://www.samhainpublishing.com/about Samhain Publishing] which has grown since its start in 2006 to be one of the leading ePublishers in the industry with a strong list of erotic romance from new and upcoming authors to such well-established authors such as Lucy Monroe, Jaci Burton and others. [[Deborah Hale]] is an award-winning Canadian writer of over 25 romance and fantasy novels. An avid genealogist, Hale spent ten years tracing her family tree to its roots in 18th century Britain. In the process, she uncovered several true romantic stories that inspired her to begin writing her first romance novel. After several years of rejections and revisions, her manuscript won the Long Historical®, Golden Heart in 1997. A few months later she sold the story to [[Harlequin Historical]]® and it was released in 1999 as [[My Lord Protector]].

Since then Hale has written many more historical romance novels as well as novellas and on-line serials for Harlequin.com. When the company created a new fantasy fiction imprint, [[Luna|Luna Books]]®, in 2004, Hale was the first in-house author to be included in the program. She wrote two connected fantasy novels and an on-line serial for Luna. In 2011, she began writing a series of inspirational Regencies for Love Inspired Historical® as well as releasing her first self-published novel.

Deborah Hale has been nominated for a number of awards including Romance Writers of America’s RITA® award for Best First Book and Romantic Times® Reviewers Choice Awards for Best First Book and Best Regency Historical. The term "category romance" derives from the fact that the books are published in clearly delineated categories, with a certain number of books being published in each category every month. Category romances are short (usually no more than 250 pages), and have a low purchase price compared to other fiction books. Blade Publishing was founded by [[Abby Carmichael]] in March 2008. We opened our doors to the public on June 1, 2008. Our goal is not to put out as many books as we can each week, but to publish a select few from the best authors we find each month.

As an author for [[Loveswept]], Becky Lee Weyrich published one romance novel.

She began publishing fiction in 1978. She has written for various publishers in a variety of genres, including historical romance, fantasy, saga, Gothic, horror/mystery, contemporary and time travel.

1991, won Romantic Times magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award for New Age Fiction 1992, awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Career Achievement in Historical Fantasy and Reviewers' Choice Certificate of Excellence for "Sweet Forever" (Pinnacle Books, May 1992)

Beginning as a nonfiction writer in 1960, she did freelance work for several newspapers and magazines. She also wrote and illustrated two of poetry before turning full time to fiction.

A member of Romance Writers of America and a board member of Southeastern Writers' Association, Weyrich is the originator of the Becky Lee Weyrich Fiction Award, presented annually at the Southeastern Writers' Workshop on St. Simons Island, Georgia.

After roaming the world as a Navy wife, the Georgia-born author now resides in a vintage beach cottage on St. Simons Island with her husband. Her hobbies include golf, beachcombing, cruises to exotic shores, and collecting Victorian antiques.
