Book Description

Fleur Brooks has a perfect marriage to Frederick, an artist, until their lives fall apart and Frederick dies leaving her almost destitute in Paris. Sir Anthony Camwell was envious of their perfect marriage, and when he meets her again after Frederick's death, he begins a friendship with Fleur and eventually offers marriage. Then she begins to be blackmailed: Frederick had painted her in sexual poses, paintings that were not meant to go outside of the marriage. Frederick had sold the paintings before he died, and now the owner blackmails her. She agrees to marry Anthony, but does not tell him about the paintings. When he eventually discovers the truth of why she married him, he demands that she spend one night in his "power," one night for each painting.
