== Biography ==&lt;br /&gt;
Edith Layton (also known as Edith Layton Felber) wrote historical romance, making her name in the [[Regency]] sub-genre. A native New Yorker, Layton was equally proud of her Jewish heritage and love for English lords. She authored over thirty novels and novellas during her career.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from [[Romantic Times Magazine]] and various other honors.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Edith Layton Felber passed on June 2, 2009.&lt;br /&gt;
