Gateway Guardians centers on a St. Louis Field office DEA team and the family unit they’ve become. Any threat against this family will be dealt with and elimintated.

Justice Bernard: Heads the DEA unit. He’s handsome, witty, sexy as sin and totally dependable. He can be callous and hard assed with the world, but when he’s with his Callye, he’s nothing but a loveable teddy bear. Like any leader, he ferociously protects his family.

Callye Anne Simone: She’s a soft-spoken woman absolutely in love with Justice Bernard. Everyone but Justice views her as the baby sister they need to watch over. Callye may come across as the typical damsel in distress, but she can hold her own and isn’t as fragile as the rest of the family thinks.

Chase Willet: Second in command to Justice Bernard. Chase is a single-minded man. He’s fed up with drugs and all that it entails. He’s totally in tune with the team. His most endearing qualities include fierce loyalty, and a smart-ass attitude. He’s never been afraid to speak his mind and sometimes that disrupts this family unit, but he’s always ready to lend a hand.

Brandy Montgomery: She’s a firecracker in and out of bed. Brandy was hired by the drug lord Rivera for one job—kill Chase Willet. The bad girl of the family, Brandy is conniving, manipulative and head strong. She’s unwilling to accept that she not only wants to be part of the family, but she needs them.

Mickey Flannery: Mickey’s Irish temper can get the best of him sometimes, but he is a loyal friend and devoted husband. Mickey has put too much time into his career and is just now learning that he really needs to put more time into his personal life. A typical brother, he’s in your face when you don’t want him and protecting your back when you do.

Terese Flannery: She’s always been the quiet voice of comfort and reason behind the family. She’s a mothering hen, a loving sister, and a dedicated wife. She offers comfort and advice even when she isn’t specifically asked for it. Mother Terese is the nickname bestowed on her by Justice.

Other characters include:

DEA agent Bobby del Gado: When he’s working with the unit it’s like a well-oiled machine. But when not working, Bobby is reclusive and a bit of a loner. His private life is kept just that, private. Like any younger brother, Bobby feels he has to prove his worth. He’s overly ambistious and more than a little hard. You screw up, just once, and hurt a friend; you’re marked for life. He doesn’t forgive or forget.

Alegra Valdez: She’s the go-to gal on the DEA team. Alegra is smart and savvy and the men depend on her for the Intel they need to get a job done. Alegra hasn’t been in the field yet but. She’s ready to take on more challenging jobs and is quick to volunteer for a dangerous assignment. One day they will put her out and let her show off what she’s made of, she just has to bide her time.

Ramiro Gonzalo Sancho Rivera: He is a cruel vindictive drug lord who thrives on the money he makes and the complete control of his employees. Rivera is said to be the devil incarnate. It is said he loves to torture and that he thrives on pain. He is even rumored to have killed the woman he loved. All these things are true. You cross Rivera and you won’t live to tell the tale.

Rafael Lesandro Rivera: He is Ramiro’s son. He enjoys financial support from his father and he is being groomed to take over the business one day. He’s not developed the taste for pain his father has, but Rafael is following in his father’s footsteps and is leaning more and more every day.
