== Biography ==
Linda Lewis graduated from the Southern Methodist University Law School. She served as an assistant U.S. Attorney, an assistant District Attorney, and a tax court litigator. She is also known as [[Dixie Kane]] and [[Linda Kay]]. Her real name was Linda Kay West. West passed away on March 1, 2004, and in her memory, the [[Southern Louisiana Chapter]] of the [[Romance Writers of America]] established the [[Dixie Kane Memorial Contest]]. The contest was put on hold when Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana. It has recently resumed.

As an author for [[Silhouette Romance]], Linda Lewis published three novels.
