His Wildest Desires is technically the first book ever written in the Mystik Guardians series, though it isn't the series' debut title. His Wildest Desires was Heather's second completed novel, first sold, but was her 9th release (10th if you count The Drigon's Fall rerelease). This book can stand completely alone in the series. In this novel, the Mystwalkers are introduced to the reader for the very first time--a mystikal race of shapeshifters who's job is to protect nature.

Kail Duncan landed the assignment of a lifetime, studying wolves in the Northeastern USA. Once inside the woods, he runs across a beautiful young woman—only no one is supposed to be living in the area. Had Roger, his childhood friend, set him up, using the ethereal beauty as bait? Raquel visits Kail in his dreams. Desperate to figure out his interest in the wolves and get rid of him as quickly as possible, the man stirs strange new feelings deep within her she doesn’t understand.
