Vampire's Cross is the launch title in Heather Kundert's Mystik Guardians series. The majority of the novel, Heather's longest title to date, takes place in the southern town of Guarda del Sin (Guardians of Sin) and its outlying areas. This book introduces the reader into the world of the Mystik Guardians and introduces a wide array of characters including Nosferatu, Lycan, and Mage.

Alexis Chantal hates everything about her life. Humans have it so easy and ignorance is certainly bliss in some cases. Just when she thinks things couldn’t possibly get any worse, the Moirae throw a wrench into her plans. She needs help to fulfill her destiny. But not just any help. Oh no, that would be too easy. To kill her sire and regain her humanity, Alexis needs the help of the one mortal man she cannot stand—Eli Dalton, Master Slayer.

With their condemning words, Alexis’s entire plan of action must be altered to include the seduction of Dalton. She must clamp down on her hatred for the man and use her womanly wiles to win him over before she can even attempt to ask for his help. But when he notices the cross she wears—all the rules are changed. She learns the hard way that to move forward, she must forget her past—something that’s easier said than done.
