She is often cited as an early favorite of modern authors.<br /> <br /> In his book [[Passion's Fortune: The Story of Mills and Boon]], author Joseph McAleer relates a story of [[Nerina Hilliard|Nerina Hilliard's]] first submission to the publisher. For one, the Tuareg, 'although deeply suntanned are supposed to be a Caucasian or &quot;white&quot; race. I mention this in case there might be colour prejudices among some readers...
