Books numbered 2449 through 2520 were published in 1982. Many new names started appearing among the classic Harlequin Romance authors, though Essie Summers and Margaret Way, among others continued to reach new readers. Authors such as Lynsey Stevens, who debuted with both Mills & Boon and Harlequin Romance in 1981 were among the newer names readers encountered.
