Biography

Lucy Agnes Hancock was a well-known American romance author. Her popular Doctor/Nurse romances were first published by Triangle Books in the 1940s, and she also wrote for Harlequin beginning in 1953. She was considered the queen of the medical romance at the time. She published 19 novels as Harlequin Romances. She published more than 30 novels over the course of her career.

Hancock was born in Brooklyn, New York, but soon moved to Auburn, New York, where she lived the rest of her life. She died there on April 29, 1962.
