Being "kid sister" to an older girl is not always an enviable position - especially when the older sister is as beautiful as was Rosalind Howland. Much as she loved Rosalind, Francesca often dreamed of the time when she would marry and go away, leaving Francesca to live her own life. Rosalind did go away, but not with a husband. Owing to financial strain after their father's death, she decided that they should go to Spain, to live in the villa he had owned on the Costa del Sol. Fran was thrilled when their old friend Doctor Richard Bray offered to come along too and see them settled in, for she had adored him ever since her schooldays. Not, of course, that there was any hope for her, for Richard had never had eyes for anyone but Rosalind. But Fran would have been very surprised at the mixed feelings with which he met them in Spain.

Book Description
