Book Description

Doctor Jane Pilgrim set off for Northingham Hospital, and her interview with Doctor Potts, with some trepidation-after all, it would be her first job as a fully qualified medical practitioner, so a lot depended on her succeeding. Her fears were set at rest, though as soon as she met the kindly old man, who luckily seemed to take a great fancy to her as she did him. But Doctor Potts died before she could start her new job, and Doctor Richard Graves, his successor, turned out to be a very different proposition-and a dangerously attractive one. So, in addition to coping with her new responsibilities, Jane found herself battling both with her growing love for Richard and with her immediate superior, Doctor Lyn Forrester, who made it plain that she regarded Jane as a rival and intended to keep her out of Richard's way by fair means or foul.
