Emma was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she met and married her husband, a career military man from Massachusetts. Thirty years and 4 children later they retired and took up nursing and teaching. In 1980 they turned to collaborative writing. After a full year of studying the Mills & Boon style, their first submission (And Blow Your House Down) was accepted and released 1983 in Hardcover by Mills & Boon. In 1996 Robert Goldrick passed away and Emma wrote The Ninety-Day Wife of 1997 in his memory. It was the last book published by that author.
