Bantam Books is an US publisher and was established in 1945. The publishing house company is now a company of Random House, Inc. In 1999, Bantam Books and Dell Publishing merged to form the Bantam Dell Publishing Group, the largest division of Random House, Inc.
Once a large paperback and category romance publisher with the imprints Loveswept and Sweet Dreams, Bantam now publishes a few select imprints. The list of writers includes the crime novelists Elizabeth George, Iris Johansen, Tami Hoag, Dean Koontz and Louis L'Amour, one of bestselling writers of all time.
In the UK Bantam is an imprint of Transworld Publishers, also a company of Random House, Inc.
