Man--and Waif by Jan Tempest

Biography

As an author for Harlequin Romance, Jan Tempest published three novels. Born Irene Maude Mossop (married name: Swatridge), she was also known as Fay Chandos, Theresa Charles (writing with Charles John Swatridge), Leslie Lance, and Virginia Storm. Alan Boon had serious discussions with Tempest about her novel Without A Honeymoon when she introduced the idea of a illegitimate child -- he felt she would encounter difficulties with the Irish audience.

Mossop was born on December 6, 1904 and passed away October 26, 1988.
