Book Description

The last thing Katherine had expected of her elderly patient, Monsieur Edouard de Hallet, was that he would make her his heiress-but that was what he did, with the proviso that Katherine must live for nine months of the year on the estate in Tunisia that was part of the bequest. But she was happy to comply, and duly set off for North Africa, to find it even more fascinating than she had expected. What Katherine had not reckoned with, however, was old Monsieur de Hallet's disgruntled relatives, in particular his niece Chantal, who lost no time in making life as unpleasant as possible for the unwelcome heiress.
