Book Description
When Cathie took a post as secretary to the rich young Canadian business man Warren Harper she soon found her sympathies sharply divided. Waren had just rented - and intended in due course to buy - a Scottish baronial castle for his mother to live in, and one of Cathie's tasks was to make it ready for her. But as soon as she crossed the threshold of Crane Castle Cathie could understand why the laird, Iain MacAllister, was determined not to part with the place that had been in his family for centuries. she loved Crane at once - and when Warren proposed to her it would mean that she would in time be its mistress - but could she stand by and see Iain lose his heritage? Yet what could anyone do to help him?
