Biography

As an author for Harlequin Romance, Anne Vinton published 16 novels. She debuted with the publisher in 1957 with her novel The Hospital Buwambo. Her Medical or Doctor/Nurse romances drew on her experiences as a nurse in Africa, and her heroines were just as likely to be doctors as her heroes. Her work was indicative of a larger trend in romance fiction as typified by the Mills & Boon novels: women were moving into the workplace in greater numbers than ever before and they were traveling to exotic locations.

She also wrote under the name Juliet Shore and her real name, Jan Haye.
