Book Description
Kathleen O'Leary, a maid at an exclusive girls' school, befriends three rich women who persuade her to put on their finery and attend a masquerade. There, Kathleen meets the highly eligible Dylan Francis Kennedy. Their night ends as the Chicago fire rages through the city, leading to an impulsive marriage between the two, both convinced they're about to die. When they survive, Kathleen must confess her true self to her new husband - a con man pretending to be a wealthy man.
