Book Description

Deirdre Broghan's goals are simple: get her sister engaged and return to Scotland. Obstacle: the arrogant blackguard also known as Lucas, the Duke of Conover, the man jilted by Deirdre. Okay, she left him at the altar. Problem: exposing Conover could destroy her sister's chances.

Conover, never the smooth guy with the ladies, conspired with Deirdre's father rather than asking her to marry him in a traditional manner. Deirdre, heartbroken, ends up marrying Conover's friend. Now she's a widow, but not the tragic figure the Ton makes her out to be. And Conover isn't the cruel figure he's depicted as either. This leads to a sweet, emotional reunion.
