Book Description
Pilot Jordan Cady, still raw from the events of 9/11, takes control of the airplane when it is hijacked and the captain dies of a heart attack. Initially, she believes that terrorists are holding the plane, but soon realizes that they've been captured by an alien spacecraft. Soon, the humans, who are told that a comet has destroyed Earth, are involved in a war between the Alliance (of which the ship that captured them belongs) and the evil Talagars. Jordan and Kao, a member of the crew that "saved" the humans work together and fall in love.
Susan Grant is a pilot for a major airline, adding a touch of realism to this story. Her view of aliens is a bit on the simple side, but the story comes together nicely. Though this book has futuristic touches, it is set in present day.
