To stop generations of bloodshed, the Darnley and Kirallen clans decide marriage between Jemmy Kirallen and Maude Darnley is the only way to stop the warring. But the Darnleys send illegitimate daughter Alyson instead of Maude, holding Alyson's brother hostage to ensure her compliance.
