About the Book

Single mother Lucy Carpenter moves her family to Red Duck, Idaho because she has a plan. She will work as a personal chef to the families in the upscale ski community. Unfortunately, her rival tries to block her plans. Undaunted, Lucy turns to the town heartthrob, former professional baseball player Drew Tolman. Of course, even as she uses Drew to build her business, she finds herself falling for him.

Baseball, especially in the form of Little League, forms a backdrop to the story as Lucy's sons work out with Drew. And Drew's former career comes into play -- not only did he have a daughter he is now trying to get to know after the death of her mother, but he retired under suspicious circumstances.
