Jane Porter writes "classic romance and modern lit". Born in Visalia, California, Porter was changed by a year spent in Europe, leading to her love of the Harlequin Presents line.
Porter is the bestselling author of over 30 novels. The Romance Writers of America awarded Porter the Golden Heart in Long Contemporary Fiction category in 1998. Her first novel, The Italian Groom, was published by Harlequin in 2001. She won the Golden Heart in 1998 with her long contemporary series romance, All-Around Cowboy -- a book that she didn't ultimately sell.
