Book Description

THE MAN FOR THE JOB is a sassy and romantic murder mystery with a handsome P.I. and a prickly attorney who has a fondness for Italian shoes and a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

From upscale Manhattan to the hills of Virginia, danger stalks attorney Gwyneth Wells. She placates her law partner-uncle and hires a P.I. But when she meets Mike Carlton, he's pushy and glib. She's just extricated herself from an engagement to an aggressive mob lawyer, and the very last thing she needs is a bodyguard who looks like he's ready to have her for lunch.

Ex-police detective Mike Carlton considers bodyguard work a necessary evil--it pays the bills. But he changes his mind as soon as Gwyn waltzes into his office. A stalker? Yes, he'll guard her all night long if necessary. All he has to do is convince her he's THE MAN FOR THE JOB...and for her.
