Book Description

Lord Darius Debenham was injured at Waterloo and rescued by a woman intent on keeping him as her prisoner and addicted to opium. Dare finally escaped, and has spent the last eight months fighting his addiction. He comes to London hoping that the change of scene will help him finally overcome his continuing need for small doses of the drug. Lady Mara St. Bride (sister to Simon from The Rogue's Return) finds herself in a dangerous position, running around London at night in her underwear. She decides to go to Dare for help because he is her brother's friend, and has always been like a brother to her. She is smitten by the new Dare, and bound and determined to help him, while he is intrigued with the grown up Mara.
