Book Description
December Vaughn decides to start her own law practice in Orange Grove, Florida, leaving behind a successful corporate law career and an ex-husband in Ohio. Her new practice gets off to a rocky start with no paying customers -- but lots of casserole bearing friends of her aunt and uncle, and one big pharmaceutical case. Her high-school friend, Max, is her office manager and she acquires an old codger as another employee, a puppy, a reputation as a drug dealer, an alligator and at least one dead body. Oh, and her furniture is also AWOL. Thank goodness she also meets Jake, the hunky ex-SEAL investigator, who is always on hand when she needs him.
