Book Description

He thought she had the allure of a modern day Cleopatra. She thought he had hidden crime connections. It was to follow this thread that Liz Patrick came to New Orleans, claiming to want to interview Michael Anton, brilliant D. A. and candidate for the U. S. Senate. But her real prupose was to expose his family background and link him to the criminal events of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. It would be a coup that could push her idling legal career into high gear. But Mike was much more of a man than Liz had bargained for. He threw himself into his political campaign, yet he found time to pursue her. Steeled against heartbreak, hopelessly entangled in her own charade, Liz struggled to remain aloof. How could she have foreseen the dangers that would threaten Mike and that the thread she's set out to follow would lead to a love that could bind her forever?
