Book Description

THE SONG OF DEATH. After the accident they took Harriet back to her family's estate. They hoped that the once-familiar surroundings would help clear away the amnesia that left her without memory of the past. But no one, not her doctor, not even the handsome artist who came to paint Harriet's portrait, could penetrate the gloom that cloaked the brooding mansion. As for Harriet, she was singled out for a strange and sinister haunting. One day the ancient portraits that hung in the great halls came to life, and Harriet heard them sing an echoing chant of doom for the heiress of Leland House.
