Lauren Willig is the author of the Pink Carnation series, about floral-monikered Napoleonic Era spies. The stories alternate between modern England, where an American graduate student named Eloise Kelly researches the intrigues of the Napoleonic Wars, and the early 19th century, where most of the events take place. In the early 21st century, Eloise finds herself in a romance with Colin Selwick, a descendant of some of the very spies whom Eloise is researching.
