As an author for [[Harlequin Temptation]], Emily McKay published three novels. She is also known as Emily McKaskle. She earned a degree in English from Texas A&M University. She worked as a middle school teacher after graduation before turning to writing full-time. In 2001, she was a [[Golden Heart]] finalist for her manuscript ''Love Letters To Tabitha'' which was published by [[Harlequin Temptation]] in 2003 as ''[[Baby, Be Mine]]''. This book was a 2004 [[RITA]] finalist in the Best First Book and Best Short Contemporary Romance categories.
