Dorien Kelly, who makes her home in Michigan, worked for several years as a commercial lawyer before turning to fiction writing. She earned a BA in English from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the Detroit College of Law. She won the Golden Heart in 1998 in the Contemporary Single Title Category. She is also the winner of a Maggie award and was a 2004 finalist for the 2004 RITA in the Contemporary Single Title category.
