Fire Department Secretary, Rosemarie Piemonte wrote her first novel Falling Roses and published in 2005 with AuthorHouse™ (ISBN 9781420838527) [1]. "It's a different type of romance novel," Piemonte says. "Expect the unexpected."

Falling Roses expands on five years of a young girl's life (Gabrielle Newtonendie) who runs away from home. While walking on a sidewalk, searching for a payphone to call her father, Gabrielle is hit by a drunk driver in Chicago. The book launches while Gabrielle is in a coma.

After two months, she awakes to her favorite celebrity (Johnny Ravolie) sitting beside her. Before Johnny is able to ask Gabrielle to come home with him to Long Island, New York, his ex-girlfriend with mob affiliations (Bernadette Malone) makes threats. After Malone receives word that Gabrielle not only lives with Johnny, but also is pregnant with his baby, Gabrielle is kidnapped.

Although Falling Roses is a book of drama, suspense, secret baby, and love triangle all wrapped into one, it is primarily a women's romance. Some content may not be suitable for younger readers.
