GARDEN OF DOOM. Celeste Abbott had always longed to visit her aunt's luxurious country estate. Yet when the invitation finally came, Celeste found herself wishing she had never heard of Linden Gardens. For as she soon learned, the mansion was overshadowed by tragedy. Three women had met their deaths here, including Celeste's own mother, and the shock had made Aunt Emma into a virtual invalid, a prisoner of her own terror and guilt. The villagers swore the house was cursed, claimed Emma was insane, and predicted that Celeste would never leave the mansion alive. And after handsome David Lathrop saved her from almost certain death in an "accidental" rockslide, Celeste began to fear that perhaps the townspeople were right. She knew she should leave at once, yet Emma would never forsake the estate. And so Celeste was forced to choose between abandoning her aunt and staying on at the risk of becoming the next victim of the curse at Linden Gardens... | GARDEN OF DOOM.
