A series of seven Medieval romances following an English Family around the year 1200. Originally released in 1978-1983 (plus latecomer Desiree in 2005), these books have been reprinted several times and are well known for their historical accuracy and longevity with readers.

- Rhiannon - Playboy, 1982
- Sybelle - Jove, 1983
And, released several years later:

Desiree is intended to be between Rosalynde and Alinor in the series continuity.
Recognition
In 1998, The Romance Reader polled both contributors and readers for their top 10 all-time favorite romances. (Check it out in the Features section.) Ms. Gellis’s The Roselynde Chronicles were on two of the contributors’ lists
