Biography

Caridad Ferrer was born in Manhattan and grew up in Florida. A first-generation Cuban American, she infuses her fiction with various aspects of cultural heritage, including those years she spent in Cleveland. She was nominated 2007 RITA in the Best First Book and Best Contemporary Single Title categories for her novel Adiós to My Old Life, winning the latter.

She also writes under the name Barbara Ferrer.
