The Witches' Curse had been laughed at by generations of Fenton's, but Fiona, the last of the Fenton women, was laughing no longer. Instead she had written to lovely nurse Tracy Stuart, her old school friend, begging Tracy to come to Ravensnest and be her private nurse. Friendship made Tracy accept this sudden invitation, but when she arrived at the old mansion she found Fiona a changed person -- almost as though she had indeed been possessed by the power of the ancient curse. Tracy might have fled Ravensnest at once if not for Fiona's need of a good nurse, and the reassuring presence of handsome writer Evan Jordan in the house next door. Yet in the end even Evan couldn't protect her on that dreadful night when a woman's horror-filled scream drew Tracy into a nightmare from which there seemed no escape...
