Book Description

A lonely old lady. A fortune. A missing heir. Eleanora Jassamine Wiley, know as E.J. to her friends and associates, knew the combination would attract every con man in fifty states to San Francisco. Which was why, as Honoria Fitzgerald's attorney, E.J. had to be extremely cautious around Colby James. Unlike the hoard of greedy would-be swindlers who'd thus far turned up, Colby had a manner that was credible, if somewhat surly, and he talked a convincing story. Despite his abominable personal history, which included enough aliases to fill a phone book, E.J. just might have believed in Colby if some instinct hadn't warned her against him. The trouble was E.J. didn't know which Colby threatened -- Honoria's fortune or E.J.'s own heart.
