Scottish laird Alec Kincaid must take a bride -- Jamie, youngest daughter of Baron Jamison. But Jamie doesn't fall into Alec's plans quite so easily, especially since it's rumored that Alec killed his first wife. Jamie doesn't plan to suffer that fate.
Garwood's trademark humor and overbearing (but ultimately teddy bear) hero combined with ditzy-seeming heroine make this a classic romance.
