The Bookseller of the Year Award was established in 1995 by the Romance Writers of America to honor booksellers who provide outstanding support for the romance genre. In 1999, the award was renamed the Steffie Walker Bookseller of the Year Award to honor the late Steffie Walker, a past recipient and strong supporter of romance fiction.
