Book Description

The battered old envelope delivered to Annie Winston Rossi had seemed harmless enough. But its contents shocked her. "Hummingbird Hill" was all it said--the code that told her Cody Hale, her teenage sweetheart, needed her. Cody had vanished from her life eleven years ago. He wouldn't contact her now unless something was desperately wrong.

Annie quickly discovered that Cody was on the run--from the law and from a ruthless killer. Yet she was convinced of his innocence and determined to help. But events unfolded too quickly; their pursuers were closing in.

To make it worse, Annie sensed that the killer would not stop until Cody and all those who knew the truth were silenced....
