About the pen-name Annie Groves
Penny Halsall, started to use the pen-name Annie Groves (she has adopted her mother's maiden-name) in 2003 to sell historical romances. Penelope gains much of her inspiration from human interest stories in the news as well as her own family history. She adapted a story told by her grandmother Elsie Jones in Ellie Pride.
